I'm am totally embarrassed by the comments on here. So many bashing Media when they don't know Gordon. And dont seem to be able to comprehend that he said he cannot do anything as told by his lawyer. My God. Is everyone here a lawyer. Has anyone had this happen to them. The answer is no, but the bashing continues. Members from out of state are commenting. And members with 3 and 4 post. The keyboard warriors are just that. A bunch of hacks that are joining the piling on. A poster on here that wrote another member a hot check even bashed Gordon. The good thing is Media will continue just like it always has. Me personally I would not want the posters making these stupid comments fishing my tournament if I had one. There is so much more I want to say. But I respect JP an the TFF to much. People often ask me why I dont have but 3 or 4 friends. This is the reason right here. Finding real men that are genuine is getting harder and harder every day.
Dont care about your friends, thats personal, this is business. Likewise, this is not about Gordon, this is about MediaBass. MediaBass the Business has lawyers who give them advice, they DONT HAVE TO TAKE IT.... Lawyers are many times self-serving, companies have to balance that with them as a business. Taking a hit like this to your business for the amount of money is just dumb business, sorry, I dont care if its bob, jerry, tom, dick , or harry... doesnt matter. BTW, they had the choice of not commenting at all, but when they did it was completely STUPID stuff.... lashing out at people you didnt pay??? Talk about 'genuine'........ #completefail

Quick question for Media supporters, if the justice system cant get the money for the anglers does Media swoop in and pay them or are they just out of luck. And if Media plans to pay them in the event that the law and lawyers fail, then why not go ahead and pay them now and end this thing. And I hope when these men get paid its very public. (Pay them double and shout it from the rooftops, I say)

As a small business owner, I can relate to the situation the owner of Media has been put in. Everyone loses on this deal. I also employ people to render a service and sometimes the results aren't what is expected. It absolutely sucks having to refund money or pay to have something fixed that wasn't done properly.
When it comes down to it, my name is on the door which means my neck is on the line when it's all said and done. Without hesitation, I would pay the winners the money and come up with a system to prevent this from ever happening again.
P.S. It doesn't matter if I know Gordon or not. It's just the right thing to do.

Two months is long enough pay the man. I'd be at every tournament they have passing out copies of my bad checks to all the anglers. Putting fliers on windshields of tow vehicles. Warning every one with-in ear shot that to beware MediaBass are scammers who hide behind lawyers if the TD directors payment bounces. Because if your payment to Mediabass bounced and you got a tournament check & cashed the check you could bet your sweet a$$ they would not find 2 months acceptable for you to make good on your payment. Please spare me the "Lawyer said" or "Gordon is God" speech.

Dang 4 comments in a row that makes sense!! Can't believe all the people defending MB over this... If you like Tommy then fish Tommy's tourneys. BUT you need(and have a right when paying an entry fee!) to know what has happened in other events hosted by the same organization!! 2 months... wow... The same OP who has waited this long I'm sure would have gladly posted a week after his check bounced how grateful he was to MB that this Gordon guy covered the $$ and that they were good to go! As it stands "no one" has their $$ and the rightful "winners" have been bent over for 2 months and counting and reading a lot of the fb(yes I have went to his page to get a possibly different view) comments that Gordon has made doesn't help matters at all.
21,365 VIEWS from MB's target audience and it's NEGATIVE publicity!! Even "if" as gtfox mentioned they paid them "double and shout it from the rooftops" does it really "right the wrong"??????

I dont make accusations unless I know the true facts. But I firmly believe this matter will be taken care of. There are those of yall bashing media. And those of us defending Media and Gordon. But since I do not know the exact truth and wasnt involved in this. I will not be a part of the bashing. An once again it is the keyboard lawyers and detectives and mind readers posting most of this.

What other options do you have??? The guy waited 2 months and still no resolution?!?! Pay the man his money! We're not talking about $100k here, it's $2,000! That measly $2k is going to cost you waaaaaaaaaaay more in the long run from the bad publicity.

My problem stems from negligence! Gordon knew there were prior instances of bounced checks... at that point the TD should have been fired. Gordon allowed it to go on and it resulted in a large loss... that is pure negligence. The anglers should have been paid their dues immediately! I dont get to fish their tournaments on an I.O.U.!!! And yes, I fished Media this year.

Here is an idea! "PAY UP" I don't care if you have to get it from your piggy bank or kids lunch money!!!!!! Exactly, I think I'd get a new lawyer also. One with my businesses best interest in mind and not his/her pocketbook. Lawyers can be great but they can also be the worst thing to ever happen to a business. My homebuilder, DRHorton, owes me over $15,000. I guarantee you I've cost them more than $15,000 and will continue to do so. All because their crooked lawyer told them not to pay me and their local CEO agreed with the lawyer. It was going top cost me more than$15,000 to possibly win the case so financially it didn't make sense. Most lawyers suck and are nothing more than crooks themselves.
