Most everyone's comments, on here, are based on opinion without facts, unless you've personally spoken with Gordon, or his Legal Team. Obviously this is very upsetting to everyone, however, it is only ONE of the many Tournament Directors of Media. I would imagine the damn Lawyer told them not to do anything, until the "Legal System" runs it's course. I don't believe that they won't make it right, prolly just doing as instructed, still unfortunate, but Gordon and the remaining T.D.'s are honest people. Everyone not involved, just calm down on bashing the whole Organization, focus on the bad guy, the Law is.

I am shocked that some haven't brought up the scenario of other tournaments and how they operate. Does anyone really think that the FLW, BASS, Bass Champs etc that have multiple divisions and multiple tournament directors would be going about this the same way?? Saying, hey take it up with the tournament director, we are only FLW (the entire organization name and all) but the director is the one that handles the money.

I will NEVER fish media again if I don't hear or read somewhere this is taken care of and made right. This is BS. For the few that are defending media, it is real easy to do so on your high horse when it isn't your money that is owed to you.

Media deserves everything they are facing right now and hope they are shut down if this isn't resolved. If it were me that was owed this money, you can bet your a** I would have been at where ever the next tournament was being held by Gordon and we would have discussed this in person. If he didn't resolve it then there would be a problem.

Last time we actually got the DA to go after a hot check writer they gave him a year to pay it out, no interest. We aren't a damn bank. We had to call the DA just about every other month to get them to get him to pay us. They kept saying "well he can't pay you if we put him in jail" which was complete BS because the guy was a home builder, he would have found a way to pay us facing felony jail time.

I don't understand how MB hasn't paid up and just continues to let their credibility go down the drain one post at a time, one outside discussion of the topic at a time. I wold be putting pressure on the organisation if I was a MB TD myself.

If this was a case of an angler cheating everyone would be saying HANG HIS AZZ! This is fraud just like angler fraud. Cheating is the same no matter which foot the shoe is on.IMO

Pretty clearly theft..... pretty clearly intentionally (closed account established intent), and pretty clearly the amount can be aggregated.

From the way I understand it, each TD is responsible for their division that they run, they each have their own bank account, it is not just one account and all is paid out of that one account. This way you have accountability. While they are under the Media logo, they are still responsible for their division. It is unfortunate that Media now has this cloud over them.

Media did not right the check, the TD wrote the check. Media, as an organization, can make it right to the individual by making good on the check. With that being said Media has no recourse against the TD to recover those funds, because Media did not right the check, the TD did. The individual will need to file charges against the TD within the county and/or state.

This is no different than a Ford/Chevy/Dodge or other car dealership writing someone a check and it bouncing.....Is it Ford/Chevy or Dodges fault or is it the dealership that wrote the check. Same scenario just different players.

I too would be very upset and would take the necessary steps.
