Shows how little Gordon actually cares about the anglers... as an organization how do you just take a step back and say not my problem talk to that guy. To me, that�s the most mind blowing part of the entire ordeal. Make it right with the anglers then go after the TD, hanging the folks that pay your salary out to dry is a horrible business decision... and again shows exactly what Gordon thinks of his anglers. To many other choices out there to give any money to an organization that handles their biz like this. Problems are going to happen, it�s how an organization responds that determines if they are worth their salt.

Surprised Gordan would let a $1,100 check take down Media Bass. Feel sorry for the other TD's they have but they are probably done.

We were already considering trying a different organization next year......this makes the decision for us.

Most of the people I have talked to that have dealt with similar situations say I�ll never see my money. That�s just plain sad when you think about it. It�d be interesting to put a pen to paper and calculate he money spent practicing for this tournament...even if I had the check back I�d probably still be in the red. Make no mistake, I don�t fish to make money or feed my family but Media sure had no issues taking my entry fees for the 6 tournaments I fished this year. Sad to know when it comes time to pay some back that it�s not �guaranteed �. Guess I should check the rules and see if that language is in there

Media Bass is embarrased and concerned about the bad checks written by a tournament director recently.
I (Gordon Stauffer) have spoken personally to all those known to me to be affected (of which I am one myself).
I am in the difficult position of not being able to say and/or do as much as I would like to because of pending litigation.
It is important for everyone to know that this is not just a matter of �My kid owes your kid some money�.
Media Bass has and will continue to do everything possible to take care of everything we can.

Due to the multiple divisions that Media Bass has, results in them having Multiple TD for those divisions. While this is a cloud on Media Bass entirely, it should not reflect on other TD's division in which they run.

Remember one apple can spoil the barrel, we all know that, but you have to ask yourself are you going to toss out the rest of the apples because of one bad apple if the other apples are still good?

I have known Gordon going back to the old Anglers Choice days. I want to believe he will make all this right. In a time like this people need to take a deep breath and let this thing play out. Mediabass has been around long enough to not have to dog pile and kick him until we see what is going to happen. Most people do not have all the facts and know what is going on behind the scenes. It is unfortunate what is happening here from a 1 TD actions but let's just see how it plays out.

Thats just the nature of it, if one of your employees does something like this it will put a black eye on the organization... especially if you dont make it right. The words offered up by the owner are BS to me, its your damn organization so it is your job to make it right or lose out on participation. He needs to figure out what is important to him.

Seems pretty simple to me, Gordon needs to pay the winners their money and then pursue the TD in court for the money

Absolutely correct. This is event is an official business. Media took all those patrons money in cash form, and served them w bounced checks...and more than once. The company should honor the prizes they promised, and deal with the legal implications on their own. The theft was not made from the anglers, but rather from the tournament business itself by one of their own chosen representatives. I routinely read/hear about how good a guy Gordon is... I don't have any doubts, yet this matter has not and is not being handled properly. The person who stole the money, was representing Media Bass.. show some responsibility.

Also, one might ask how many times is too many? since there are and have been multiple confirmed reports[u][/u]?!?!

Exactly my thoughts. This guy is doing This as a last ditch effort. Two months without payment is BS. And his reply is BS, �It�s important to know blah blah� no it�s important to know the company you own owes people thousands of dollars

All the folks defending Meida ( I�m not bashing here just asking) saying let it play out and it will be made right, do y�all see this has been 2 months now? The OP did not run to the TFF and start bashing, but reached out to the owner of Media and was given no option other than �sorry but I won�t help you recover money won from my organization�. While this is unfortunate it does reflect to the company Media Bass and the owners of that company. It looks like $3,100 is going to be the black eye that has to be worn.

All my checks ever from Media have said "Media Bass" on them. Not someones personal account. That's suspect as it is.

We only know of two checks that bounced. $7616 if all were returned on those two events. He could have payed some out in cash at the ramp.
