This makes sense. I've found some soft plastics while swimming around my dock and for the life of me couldn't figure out what they were because they were huge. I thought one of them was a super-sized sweet beaver, but couldn't find a product as big as it was. This weekend, I was throwing a deep crank and dragged up what looked like a 15 inch worm that was really big around too. Couldn't figure out what it would have been. Was probably just an ol' monster that had been down there for a while now that I see this. Thanks for figuring this out.

Yep. That's why we shouldn't let them float but as stated throw them in a box for later re-melt or trash.

I've pulled stuff out of fish's gullets that makes you wonder how the fish was alive. They will sometimes have a belly fully of these bloated plastics and, as a result, the fish is starving to death. I always throw my plastics in the trash; never in the lake.

Wow that crazy, I didn't know they turned like that. Defiantly trashing them and even the ones I see on the floor when I go fish.

I have fished with a few people and seen them toss their used plastics in the water and then got an ear full from me. I bet 90% of plastics floating around get eaten by something either a fish or other animal.
The day after catching a lot of fish is still a good day.

I found one that size in Iowa, I dont think that is from swelling I think it was that big of a lure, the one I found was pretty hard and had a 4 inch hook in it and what seemed like 65 lb mono on it

This does happen. I found a SK Menace Grub under the seat of my sit in kayak that was five times the normal size. It would probably have been larger if it had been totally submerged.

I "grew" a 5" senko type bait one time. Didn't know it was that moist in the bag,but I guess it was. It was about 15" long when I last looked at it. Hope it catches more than one fish, cause I'm saving it for Falcon r Fork.

Ya I've found similar baits in the bilge area that get there by accident. An ol monster or Magnum lizard get enourmous.
