Couple of questions about the following screenshots: Photo #1 - Photo #1 - Apparently I don't have fish reveal set up properly because I expected the fish that were suspended in the tree to show up differently. Any thoughts? Photo#2 - Photo #2 - Fish stacked on the right brushpile. Ran out of time and didn't fish this one. In the brush on the left hand of the downscan box are there any fish on that one or is that just the brush? Photo #3 - Photo #3 - Are fish on this pile? I have a hard time interpreting the pic if they are not stacked vertically. Thanks for your help in advance.

Looks normal to me. A lot of crappie are too small to show much color except blue. Try using a different background color (tan) so they will show up better. Also try at 455 resolution instead of 800.

My thoughts.
#1 I doubt that Fish Reveal will show a crappie as a 'V' with the different colors. The reason that crappie show up as little dots (as I was told) is because they are such a narrow profile and a softer density that the sonar has a hard time picking up a return from them. The reason for the popcorn dots is that the sonar is actually picking up only the return from their air bladder. A large crappie may show up in FR but not sure. See the red fish in your other snap shots? Those may be a large crappie but I would bet a sand bass/small bass.
#2 You are actually seeing the same brush pile on both the left and right side of the sidescan image. There are not two separate piles. You were directly over the pile so it shows up on both sides of the image
#3 There are fish in the pile but they are deep in the brush. I look for the little white dots (air bladder) and see many in the brush.
I could be wrong so I would like you to send me all those coordinates so I could confirm my above answers personally. Please shoot me a PM with them so that we don't have a bunch of people fishing your brush piles.

The unit is a Lowrance Gen 3. Photos were taken in central Arkansas on Hamilton. Good fishing when the recreational boats start to slow down. School has started and when weather cools down it will be perfect. Also will have a 5' draw down this year. Another shot from this weekend:

BlueNitro - I'm with you: need the coordinates to confirm everything! Robinson0212 - nice photos! Looks like things are set pretty well, but as Ernest said - try different color pallets to see if they show more details. We stayed on Lake Hamilton several times and was not happy with the pleasure boaters messing up my crappie fishing; lake has many narrow arms! Good luck, and enjoy the learning journey.

Couple of questions about the following screenshots: Photo #1 - Photo #1 - Apparently I don't have fish reveal set up properly because I expected the fish that were suspended in the tree to show up differently. The left sonar and right DownScan are of the sam brush piles.
