Had a Kingfisher many years ago. Caught tons of fish out of it but stayed wet a lot also.
Since have had the others from SC , CC and tiller.
Well I’m thinking about going back. Don’t fish much big water anymore. Sometimes but if it’s blowing I stap at home. Mostly fish near by rivers crappie and catfish and Now at my age along with knee and back problems the thought of sitting down at the helm and not having to get up and down a lot makes sense to me.

Anyway not sure what is out there these days but definitely looking at at least 17’.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks
Dwight

I had a Tracker Grizzly that was 16' with a 9.9hp motor and was stick steer. Live well in the center in front of the drivers seat and a small platform on the front. I didn't have to get up much and had a comfortable seat. It was a perfect setup for me as I fished mainly creeks. I loved it and wish I had kept it for that purpose. I switched to a pontoon because it's more enjoyable for the kids and I can take their friends/other family with us now but I'm not too fond of it as a fishing boat yet but I may change my opinion on that with time. When I do get another crappie boat it will be just like my last one with the stick steering and center live well.

Do you have one by chance.
I had looked at them a couple times but they do not show an interior layout or have a description of it that I can find. I guess their only dealer is in Alabama which is further than I care to drive and not like the boat. Now if you or someone has one I would love to have more information.

Thanks
Dwight

I have an Express boat and think they are good well built boats but drove down and looked at one of the front steers by Lake Fork and really did not care for it.

I do appreciate you replying

Thanks
Dwight

E-TEC HAS THE NEW 60 HP HO NOW, SAME ENGINE AS THE 75/90HP JUST DE-TUNED ON THE TOP END {68HP), LOTS OF LOW END BUT WIEGHT IS 303 LBS. YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH IT ON A STICK STEER SITTING IN THE FRONT.

I have a Triton 1657 stick steer. which triton quit making and now crestliner makes it and updated it. love the look on the Crestliner one like the fact they moved the livewell to the side and out of the middle like mine has. mine looks more like the G3 stick steer and I do like that G3 has a 17' and the only thing I hate about mine is I got it without carpet thinking it would be so easy to clean which it is. But dear God if you lean a arm down on it while reaching down to the water in this Texas heat it will burn the holy #%&@# out of you. other than that I love the boat and the 57" wide bottom make's it a little more stable

I have a G3 Eagle 170 PFX. 70 HP Yamaha, Ultrex 80 24V, Helix 9 with DI on TM and SI on transom. It's a crappie fishing machine.

I got too old to climb in and out of a side console and move to front to fish, back to side console to change locations. I crappie fish only in NE TX, SW AR, NW LA and SE OK lakes. after launching, I'm in one place till I load back on trailer. I can fish longer before getting tired.

I own a Royal with hydraulic steering on the side instead of the stick. It is a fantastic boat!
