Shark Fishing in an Inflatable Boat. The Boat is a Zodiac MK1 Classic with a 20 Horsepower Mercury 4 Stroke Engine. Shark Fishing a couple of miles off the beach at South Padre Island Texas. This was my first shark catch out of the Zodiac. The Shark was a Blacktip Shark that weighted about 70-80 pounds. The fight lasted 16 minutes but was edited down for Youtube.
Reel was a Penn Battle II 6000 on a Uglystick Tiger Rod rated 20-50 Lbs. 50 Test Braided Line, 60 Lbs Topshop. I believe the hook was a 10/0 on 80 test Malin piano wire.

cool!
I grew up on the coast, dad owned a boat shop.. I always wanted him to sell Zodiaks so I could have one to use. Too much time watching Jacques Cousteau I guess!
