Are the bream on beds yet at Fork? I'll be taking the wife out there this weekend and that's what she likes to fish for. I usually put on a power worm and work it around to find the beds. Bream will tear that sucker up and it catches the occasional bass while I'm at it.

Mike-O, I love to bream fish, but never have at Fork. Any particular part of the lake you start. I have an RV in Williams Creek.

I caught a bream at Fork yesterday on a bubble belly type jig in 20 feet of water. Hope that info helps.

Has anyone used the Gulp worms that come in a jar? If so will they stay on the hook longer than a red wiggler?

Yes, but they don't work quite as well as real worms. Easier to pack with you if you wanna try the bluegills after a day of fishing for something else though...

Nitro, once they start bedding up you can find them in williams. just move along fishing from the bank out to about 6' around stumps and blank spots in grass beds. Once you find a bed you can load em up then move to the next spot. It's fun, but my back aches for a week after filleting about a hundred of those suckers. I'll put bream fillets up against any kind of fish tho. Crickets!

Mealworms work great also and they're messy like red wigglers, nightcrawlers and cheaper than crickets...plus they don't jump or run away from you if they get out of your hand. You can usually catch 2-3 big bream on them as opposed to 1/cricket.
I buy them bulk from Fluker Farms...Giant Mealworms, $10/1,000

Giant mealworms are awesome bream bait. In a pinch, you can get them at Petco or Petsmart. Good luck.

We didn't find them on beds yet, but they were in shallow water in the backs of creeks getting ready. My wife caught around 50 or so Friday evening, only 2 had eggs but they were some nice fat ones. The red-ears were really fat. Went back this morning but didn't do as well. Looks like the evening bite might be better. On another note I've never seen so many bass on the beds and they are super aggressive. Had to come back early so I can fish the Rockwall Marine open tomorrow.

BREAM:
(Abramis brama), common European food and game fish of the carp family, Cyprinidae, found in lakes and slow rivers. The bream lives in schools and eats worms, mollusks, and other small animals. It is deep bodied, with flat sides and a small head, and is silvery with a bluish or brown back. Length is usually about 3050 centimetres (1220 inches), weight to 6 kilograms (13 pounds).
IF these fish are in Lake Fork, hide the wimmen and chillern from the bowfishers.

Lol Oldgringo, clever.
Don't really know why people call the various Sunfish species Bream around here, or Perch for that matter, but oh well, everyone knows what they mean, and that's the most important.

Those pumpkinseeds are some of the prettiest fish in my book!
What is the best time of year to catch them and what type of water? I haven't caught any in a long time.
