i have a ranger rt188, and fish a lot of private ponds. a month ago, i fished a pond where the surface temps started at 86 and topped out at 91. my fish were dead after a couple of hours.
installed the vt-2 vents on the livewell, and returned to the same pond 2 weeks ago. same lake, same water temps. fish were just as lively at 7:00 pm as they were when i caught them at 7:00 am.
small sample size, but 1st impression is that they really work.

All I use as well. No ice or anything. Havent had a fish die since Ive had them and its pretty amazing how active the fish still are at the end of a hot day. You really cant go wrong with them.

Installed on ZX225 livewells and it seems to help mostly with getting rid of bad air. I have also notice cooler temps without adding ice. I like that after a day of fishing, the livewells dry out and don't stink as bad without having to open the lids.

So you are telling us...allowing hot outside air into the livewell cools the water?

Riddle me this. If I have a venturi system that injects air from the outside into the livewell, don't I already have a system that changes the the air in a livewell? The injected air has to go someplace.
Seems to me the easiest way for them to show it works is to measure two livewells, side by side during a hot day. One with the V2 and the other without. Take measurements of the water, temps and diffused air and water readings. They could do this with the livewells on and livewells off to show the difference. Do it in the wind and when there is no wind.
Anyone could do such a video and if it worked half as good as some of the comments the results would be dramatic. I like to see a product working. So far all I've seen is talk. There is a plethora of videos showing someone telling me it works but not one showing it working and giving measured results.
I have a venturi system in my boat now. I quit tournament fishing but have an oxygen injection system in case I go back.

Lots of video and data on web and YouTube to support claims for/against just like anything else. It may all be propaganda but I have noticed that my livewell water is cooler with the vents installed than without. Honestly, I never really had a problem losing fish unless gut/gill hooked. So many gimmicks (Hydrowave, Color C-Lector, etc...) and accessories on market to catch fisherman, but for $45 it's a cheap investment for fish care. The biggest decision that I had to make was having to drill a 3" hole in the top of my lid.

I won't be one of the ones saying "they work". I think it's plausible that they do more good than harm, for sure. Having said that, if I ever have an issue with fish care that wasn't my fault , I'd spend the money on them. However, in 40 years of bass fishing and 20 years tourney fishing, I've never had a fish die that wasn't MY FAULT and no "vent" would have made my recirculate pump turn ON or close my wells so the water would stay in.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.
