Spent 15 years in an Xpress and loved it. I just got tired of trying to stay on top of the trolling motor. I'm sure the Vexus will share some of the characteristics your concerned with. If I was to ever get back in another aluminum boat, I'd make sure it had an Ultrex on it.

A guy I know was the first one to buy a Vexus in MN. He had an Xpress prior and he is absolutely in love with the Vexus. I fished in a tourney against him this weekend and go to see what up close. The deck on it is massive and the storage space is crazy. One of the back compartments fit 2 compartments full of stuff in his old Xpress. He installed a 112 Ultrex on it and I asked if he had enough room for the 4th battery and he lifted up the back compartment and I couldn't believe how much room was back there. Just clean as could be. He has a 150 Merc 4 stroke on it right now and he has topped out at about 56 mph. The boat gets up and going really quick too. Overall he said it's an amazing rig.

Last Friday, Phillip at Trader Bill's walked me through model with a 150 Merc. Impressive construction and a very different hull design from the Ranger / Triton. I too was wondering how this boat would handle the chop.

I've yet to see one up close but I think they look good in all the pics. Crisp angles and the colors are great! With a 150 yeah it should scoot for an aluminum!

Does anyone know when their fiberglass boats will come out? I have checked the website and nothing about it there.

I was told March/April but I seen something the other day that indicated that you may be able to at least see one in November.

Just saw on another site where this Saturday during the FLW Cup Forrest Wood will be unveiling a new model of Vexus boat. Maybe the fiberglass one?!?!

They posted a picture on their facebook page and it looks like they are probably going to unveil the bigger aluminum model. 20 OR 21fter with new merc on it.

I've spoken to a rep about all my concerns with how I fish I couldn't imagine them being any more helpful! They told me the story about their designs and how ranger restricted them from doing what they wanted so they started their own company. I will be getting that 20 next year if it fits in my garage, haha.

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!

Tell him Midwest Marine in Harrisonville Missouri has one if he wants to go look at it. They are the Vexus dealer in that area.

Are they using closed-cell foam? I get where y'all are going on your logic but closed cell foam will not/can not absorb, wick, hold or trap water within itself. This is why so many commercial, residential and ag insulation companies are going to in flood/hurricane prone areas for these exact benefits. Fill all the voids completely w/closed cell foam and your boat can't hold water. The old open cell foam is a different topic altogether.
