I've got a few waterfront lots available on Lake Brownwood. Deep water, large oak trees and access to water/electric. Good fishing lake for bass, crappie and sandies. PM me if you are interested.

Falcon has some very reasonable lakefront stuff I've looked into I have always thought lake front means something a little different on Falcon than what most people think of as lake front.

No way I would buy property there. Had friends with a beautiful home there, but sold it because they couldnt launch their boat for a couple of years.

Owning a lake lot is a great way to get rid of your addiction to fishing. This isn't true in at all. We have an acre on Cypress Springs and are out there probably 35 weekends a year and I fish at least 1 day each and every one of those weekends. And that doesn't take into account the few weeks a year where we stay out there for a week. I will admit that we have a service that takes care of the yard though. I've lived here at Ivie for five years and still fish it near everyday from January till deer season starts, wife mows and does the yard stuff while I fish.

We thought we wanted lake property too, but opted for a park on Fork. Im in one of the nicer parks in my opinion in that I have a nice yard in front of my place, and I do not have other RVs or Park models on my side. I probably have 50 to 70 yards to my west and 100 yards to my east between me and my neighbors.
Its a convenience thing for me right now. Working full time as most do, I just dont want all the maintenance of a home. I have to maintain my deck and my Tiny House, but besides that the yard is always mowed, leaves are picked up in the winter.
All I do for the most part is show up, turn on the water, turn down the A/C and Im home for the weekend. Yea, I have to clean windows and the house, but that takes a very short period of time.
For us, this was a great way to go until we start thinking about retirement.

I had the lake lot and just a small cabin for 17yrs on Fork. It was a weekend place and I had more fishing than work during those years. Now we have a house and a lot more work than fishing. I driver to north Dallas every day for work. It's a trade off, the house brings more work. For a weekend place an RV spot is the way to go. Or do what I did, buy a lot and put up a small cabin for a while before your ready for full time. Ten years from retirement and a lot of miles, I do get to work from home a few days out of the month.
Some RV parks rent and some you buy the lot. Check out the RV parks closely, a good example is White Oak Shores on Fork you can buy the lot and live there year round. Others you rent but can't occupy all year long. Some even make you take the trailer off property for 2 weeks every year.

I just looked at this lake on google maps. What's the deal with that island with tons of docks but no houses??

Sandlin. Good location with easy access to 3 lakes (or 2 1/2 if you still consider Monti). Boat traffic reasonable, and property much better priced than Cypress Springs next door. All types of cover to fish.
