Most of us came from the other side of the fence so to speak...so we know what buttons to push when taunting the bass guys...but on the other hand the majority of the bass guys have an elitist attitude, yet cant figure out how to consistently crappie fish...Boy i can get their attention fast when i start talking about all the big bass i catch now that im a crappie fisherman... I'll usually say somthing like "i can really understand now why the big bass are where they are"...or "since ive realy learned to read electronics and understand offshore structure and cover, i know why i never caught big bass when i was fishing for them"... They get real fidgety and uncomfortable, but because they think they are above me in skill and $ spent on boats and equipment, they never ask for info or advice... However, some of my best big crappie spots came from bass guys telling me about catching big crappie on big crankbaits and such...they usually cant figure out why, but i know...Wait!!.did i just admit to potlicking off of bass fisherman?

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Troy: I see this all the time at PK. People will be out beating the bank for bass. They catch a few small ones but in the summer those big ones are not in that hot water they are out deeper under some shade. I see lots of small bass shallow when I'm catching bait so I figure that is what they are catching. I think it's odd for the bass guys to have a $60,000 fiberglass boat with shallow water anchors and the cheap little fish finder that came with it. They would be better served by spending the money on electronics as it almost like cheating. Once I learned how to use my fish finder fishing lakes became easy.
John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

Yep...potlicking is potlicking...species don't matter.

I guess your not looking at the same bass boats that I am. Pretty much all bass boats are running two graphs and a lot are running three graphs. Bass boats having $4,000 to $6,000 or more in electronics is pretty much the norm nowadays.

I decided against Power Poles / Talons and am getting an Ultrex for mine because I fish offshore so much the poles would not do any good. That is whether I am fishing for Crappie, Catfish, White Bass, or Ditch Pickles!
