I would like to nominate Jody Gray. He is the fire chief for Maydelle volunteer fire department. He has been with the dept for some 15 years. Through his leadership we have a acquired a pumper truck worth $240K with the help of FEMA, a fully equipped brush truck worth $80K with the help of the Texas Forest Service. Sometime next year we will receive a large 750 gallon brush worth some 150k from the Texas Forest Service.

We ( Volunteer firefighters) don�t have to dodge bullets like our great veterans and law enforcement officer do but we share the grief of someone who just lost their home to fire or helping the EMT�s perform CPR from a rural location to the hospital only to find our efforts were in vain.

I appreciate your consideration.
