Anybody fishing Cooper in this heat? Would like to get out but don't want a wasted trip (I don't get enough opportunity to waste them)? Any help is most appreciated

The fish have really scattered within the last month or so. Still catching a lot of fish but really having to weed through the small fish to get a good mess. Im talking sandbass there if your wanting hybrids I wouldnt waste a trip. Some days we will catch a few good ones and a lot of shorts and other days you cant hardly find one. The early flooding really took a toll on our big sandbass and hybrids.

RiverRoad this weekend looks to already be a wasted trip on Cooper!   Will be celebrating Ladiesman Rays birthday (Dad) on beautiful Lake Cooper at a undisclosed awesome State Park  With some of the fun lovingest...best fishermen peeps thats out there hands down and so very proud to call them buddies, partners, brothers and friends! This first full wknd of August is petty much a Rays Fishing Camp Birthday tradition for quit sometime now! Soooo like it or not we invading Super Cooper this year beware and please  REMAIN CALM  Will have full report for ya RiverRoad..  Ladiesman Ray

Fish are alive and well at Super Cooper! large plentyful sandies galore and a few nice hybrids as seen in pic below fun fun great first start to weekend thanks ScottyP and Coachzee for finding bookoo Between yall PlanoKeith and Fastguy / Austin and Mike / and the Mixon bunch it was none stop

That was guide Steve Pebbly. But now you can get the locations from TPWD. clicky here download the pdf So many good fish caught from the pics I've seen so far. Man my Hubbard buddies CAN CATCH...and Party!
