I've got to say you're one helluva fisherman, Sinkey. Anyone who can smoke 'em on a Falcon Cara has mad skills. I have a very hard time feeling light bites on those rods. Now the Mike McClelland Signature Series flipping stick is sensitive as all get out.
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

But pretty much use those for traps, chatterbaits, etc. The Reaction's don't seem to be quiet as sensitive though.

Question: I fish all my bottom contact baits with my left index finger under the line in front of my reel. Is there a rod that is more sensitive to bites than my finger? I don't own any of the high end rods. I'm just curious if it would make a big difference when I'm already in constant line contact with my finger?

Coincidentally or not, also happen to be the most expensive rod I own. So don't have much to compare them against.

I don't touch the line when I'm fishing. I will tell you this tho, any Loomis rod from the GLX up transmits the lightest of bites on a line with a lot of belly in it from the wind right to the reel seat.

I've seen him coil up six feet up line on the back deck then get a running start to the front deck and sling it out!
