I just bought a Helix 7 for my console and was curious what the best mounts are for this depth finder. I want to be able to turn it around so I can see it from the bow when I'm up there. Thanks for the help!

You could probably get by with the ram ball mount with a 7" unit but the swing arm is much better, especially if you ever decide to get a bigger unit https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-109HU

I've used Ram Mounts for various applications and I have never been able to keep them from moving when the water gets rough. I always used the recommended size, but it didn't matter. I finally just quit using them. They're probably OK for a kayak.

I have Ram mounts, pictured by Shut Up and Fish above, on the bow and console. I transfer the Helix from one to the other as desired. The cables are external but are not a problem to keep out of the way. I have the setup rigged to be easily transferred from one boat at Fork to another in Minnesota for the summer. Played with this for several years and now this is the ideal solution unless you want to buy multiple units.

I'll have to think about doing that.
