Just brought home a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer, I am basically doing a make over with some light changes , soo I can't get it driveable to a tire shop, Have tried removing lug nuts, TOO Tight!!, pre WD 40, lug wrench, Reg box end w/ a pipe, NO HAPPEN, thought heating might help, Soooooooooooooo, suggestions ? Remembering I can not move it!
A bit more info, there is a vibration from that wheel area,(Right rear) a friend says the shock is bad, All tires are new EXCEPT that tire, it's the correct size, although quite worn evenly smooth,very little thred left. Was thinking because of the AWD the tire might be the problem.

Take it to the tire shop as is. Don't be surprised if the stud breaks off or the threads are destroyed.It has to come off and just has to have more force, no easy way around it. I would also suspect that tire is the vibration. bg

If you cant move it why does it need tires?
Get some penetrating oil and soak it and an impact or a breaker bar. Add a longer cheater pipe till it comes loose or breaks.

Thanks Redchevy,
Have no idea as to what (at this point) is causing that vibration, also thinking the tire condition just might be the cause, as it must be replaced due to condition.

you need a 1/2" breaker bar with the socket and a really long pipe. if the wheels are aluminum the nuts can seize to the wheel making them a pain to get off. Iv had to use the breaker bar with a 4ft pipe on the end before to break a lug loose. If you cant get them to come off another option is to call a mobile tire guy and he can come with his air impact and probabley get it loose.

Forget the WD40. Do what others suggested. I keep a 2-1/2 or longer piece of stew pipe for these cases. Believe it or not I had use it on son's oil pan plug the first time I changed the oil. I guess oil change got tired of replacing motors when plugs came loose.

that's probably why it only has 3 new tires, someone else couldn't get it off too, so don't feel bad about it. get some pb blaster and soak it overnight, take an old socket or piece of pipe that will fit over the lug, but wont fit over the lugnut so you can hit the lugnut a few times with a heavy ball pein hammer and retry it with a good socket and breaker bar/cheater pipe before you call someone out, you never know

Thanks to all for the advice,,,,,,,
It worked, got up with a clear head and found a 4' pipe in the shop, Broke em loose, removed tire and had a shop install a new one, after removing the tire noticed a bar, strut ?, that was loose from the wheel assembly, the insert was a slotted pressure fitting, I opened it a bit pressed the rubber end in and tightly closed the fitting. Car now drives like a dream. ...Mucho thanks
Now to try the same thing with a JD Spindle assembly on my LA 145.

What ya going to do with the other three wheel nuts? It would be wise to get some Never Seize and put on all the threads. That goes for boat trl wheels too. The stuff is like gold.

On our boat trailer the lugs/stud ends are exposed. I just spray them down with corrosion X once or twice a year and after 3.5 years of use fresh and saltwater there is no corrosion on the lugs or studs.

Well the lug nuts are happy and doing their job, Have been spraying the spindle bolt every day with P Blast, Needed to take a few days away per orders of Dr and Wife (operation stiches in the back) today went with pipe on wrench, no go, heated with torch, nope, guess it goes on the pickup to find a better solution.
GOT EM OFF!!!!!!!
let it die
