Going to Branson next week and would like to spend a day on Tablerock bass fishing. Anyone have a guide they would recommend?

Pete Wenners. You can find him on Google and youtube. Can't recommend anyone better. If he's off from the Elite's, Pete's good friend Brian Snowden would also be an excellent choice. Beautiful lake in God's country!

I fished with Eric Prey, he posts a lot of videos and information.....

I chose to hire him as a courtesy to show my appreciation for all the informative videos he posts and told him so. I had never been to table rock but was going to be there for a local club state tourney.

This was in April this year, Eric is the first person whos boat I have ever fished off besides my own or with my dad (Im 47 so its been a long time).

We caught fish and he pretty much pre fished for a upcoming tourney and we talked all day and I learned some random new to me things. I asked him stupid questions that were random and looked at his boat organization and storage methods etc.

We both learned from each other, he had a ultrex but never knew about jog, or even the N button which keeps you on a heading. After watching him run the motor a few hours like a fortrex I asked why he never used the N and boy did he like that NEW feature and figured he should have read the manual.

Some people (guides pros) would NEVER admit to not knowing how to use what they have etc.....

whoever you hire,I would not hire Eric Ollierson. Went to Table Rock May 30th through June 6th. Fished with Eric May 31st and was very disappointed!! I'll never use Eric Olliverson again.
Table Rock is loaded with fish. If you get a chance you definitely need to fish at night.I tried night fishing the last night I was there and done very well. overall I caught a lot of largemouth, smallmouth, and a few spots the time I was there. stayed at Rockview Resort.

Thanks for the information. I'm still looking for a guide, everyone suggested so far is booked.

Did you try Stacey King. That's short notice for any good guide. Would be reluctant hiring a guide a week out that wasn't booked.

I think I've called everyone I could google. I appreciate the responses, but I've decided to do a little homework and rent a boat.

One other name to try. I know he was guiding for big rainbows below the dam, but he may be guiding for bass on the lake, too. Try googling John Sappington.

Here ya go cinsano, I found John's info. Don't be afraid if he's not booked. Book him. Great fisherman and super nice man.

I have fished with Eric 3 times on TR. He is very good. Just know that he is a smoker, not that its a bad thing but just FYI.

Are you truly allergic to cigarette smoke, or are you a reformed smoker?
