Hi All. Im about to head to Pines for some prefishing with my boy and want to check out the main lake. We are launching at Cedar Springs and when I pull up the map and look at the boat lanes, it appears to just end when headed towards the dam. Anyone care to share how to safely run further down the lake from there? Any help would be appreciated....just want to avoid anything bad with my boy in the boat. Thanks all!
Make every cast count!

You ought to give guide Brian Vickery a call for an evening trip. He’ll put you on a good off shore bite right now

Once you run out of the boat road stay straight for about a quarter mile then most water is fair game. I would idle going into the three creeks, Alley, Johnson and Hurricane unless you follow a local as there are stumps. After you go under the bridges idle only. On the way back line up several poles from the same distance out then run straight into the boat road. Good luck.

When I get to the end of the marked boat lane heading south I aim my boat about 150 yards to the right (south) of the big main lake point that is between half a mile and a mile away. That point is just west of the mouth of Alley Creek.
When you get closer you will see a taller tree off the point. Stay out from that tree but not too far... maybe 100 yards. From there stay to the left (north) center of the main lake as you head toward the dam, at least until you pass the island you will see to your right (south).

Get the boat lanes chip, it makes it simple. It's alot cheaper than a lower unit
