Google Berkley Braid Knot. It's the only knot I tie for all types of lines, other than a loop knot or a uni knot. But for tying to the hook or bait eye, learn to tie this knot. It's the only one you will ever need and it will not break.

Palomar for 99.9% of my knots. Never once failed. Thats what I usually tie and never really seemed to have a problem with it even on flouro... until recently. I broke off 3 fish in two trips and that doesn't happen very often, Idk if I've been tightening the knot down to much or what and Ive been putting a little spit on er before I tighten down.

It's the only one you will ever need and it will not break. Hate to have to tie that when it's windy or in the dark. I can tie a Palomar in the wind, at night and has never failed. If I'm using braid I simply double the knot before I pass the lure through the loop. But to each his own.

Trilene Knot (so easy to tie) and retains 100% strength like the Palomar, Loop Knot for top water and jerkbaits and FG knot for Braid to Floro leader.

If you pull it straight and the line curls, you probably heated it and now it is weakened. I wet it pull it wet it, pull it... The straighter the line comes out (when slack) the stronger that knot is.

Only need 2 knots, palomar for everything except tying 2 lines together. Double unit for tying lines together

For braid I use a modified Palomar( just means I run an extra loop through the eye of the hook ). There may be another phrase for it. I use a San Diego jam knot for everything else except walking baits I use a loop knot. Braid to flouro or mono I like the double uni. All four of these are very simple to tie and very dependable for me.
