I have never fished Fork, but plan on it this week end for Crappie. Any help on where to fish and what they are biting on. Also, I am coming in from Greenville, what is the best ramp to put in?

Thanks

The crappie stack up near the dam in winter. By this time they have started their migration into the creeks and shallows to spawn. I have been very successful around Chaney and Ray branch near the dam this time of year. I like to use the 1" bass assasins in black/chartreuse, pumpkin seed, tomato seed, salt and pepper or blue and white. All with either black or red jig heads. Drop it next to a stump, wait 10 seconds, crank it up a foot, wait 10, crank, wait, crank, wait...move on. When you find the depth, mark your line. They will usually all be pretty close to the same. Good Luck.

Oh...I like thew ramp at hwy 515. The minnow bucket is good too.
The lake is stumpy. Be careful.

154 is also good this time of year. if facing from the public boat ramp pillars 4-6 are good. nice brush piles there. minnows 2 cranks off bottom, black and chartreuse, red and chartreuse been good for me.
