Recently bought a pellet grill and was wondering what some suggestions were from someone on temp(s) to cook foods such as burgers , pork chops, ribs etc... Tried some burgers , bratwurst and chops already and none turned out very well. Bought the pit boss "competition blend" pellets. Maybe I need to try a different flavor of pellets ?

It's a great smoker, don't care for it as a grill on most things.

Burgers turn out great on mine. The only thing it doesn�t do well is sear. I buy the traeger pellets. Bought something else off of Amazon one time. I didn�t like those. I want an egg, but I may wait on that.

Have an egg..use the Traeger more because it�s better. Look up recipes online to learn the proper cook times and temps for what you want to cook.

Have a Pitboss, when I want to grill I use the copper grill pans, put the grill on about 450 and heat the grill pan up pretty hot (steaks I use the ribs side, burgers the flat side) come out pretty good.....

I have two pork butts on my Traeger Timberline now. Using the Traeger Summer Shandy pellets.

Try some Lumberjack pellets, i think they put out more smoke.

got a Traeger.....use hickory or mesquite for smoking pork butts,turkeys or ribs....prefer to cook steaks and hamburgers over charcoal...

I like it...but it is not a grill. It�s an oven.

I like steaks cooked in it...but I use a meat tenderizer...marinade for at least an hour.
