I know I have seen some comments about folks who have purchased reels from Japan and they had listed some reliable sellers. Anybody able to comment on this..??
Thanks...

I buy all my Shimano and Daiwa reels straight from Japanese seller both on eBay or straight from their website. My last 2 purchase was from eBay from seller digitaka_hana and the other direct from their website japan tackle.
Both orders were received within 4 business days.

Not to side track this thread but why do the Japanese sell the digital chip models over there but difficult to find here in the US? We looked closely at buying those directly via eBay and after reading reviews etc, I wasnt worried at all about buying something from Japan

I think there are some U.S. based eBay sellers that carry some Japanese models too.

I bought a Shimano Scorpion from Japan via ebay. I was concerned about it being tied up in customs, paying duties, etc. No problems, smooth transaction.
