Since my expected retirement year is around 2036-2040, this will smack me right in the wallet. Good thing I'm a pessimist.

Need more tax cuts. Always works.

Better starting saving your money

We need to increase taxes on the youngs.

By 2034 this will be seen as a minor problem in the overall scheme of things.

I�m shocked that a government run plan is not working out. Doesn�t happen often.

Well when you use ss money to shore up government spending... just like companies using retirement contributions for business expenses then leaving the workers empty handed.

Not worried, I should be dead by then.

These yuge tax cuts for corporations & the top 1% are not going to pay for themselves.

SS should be killed now. I don�t want to hear what you have �paid� in. It�s a tax. The money that is taken in is spent. It�s not set aside in a fund. It�s a pathetic institution. It�s insulting what that program is, and people fall for the spin.

Do away with that tax. If some can�t save, that�s on them.

Increase the "normal" retirement age to 70 starting with the Gen X slackers and eliminate the cap on the income that is subject to FICA tax - problem solved.

Lots of people don't know what it was like before SS. It wasn't good. Do some research and you might look at it differently and be interested in trying to save it.

I sadly think this is spot on.
