Hey Ronnie, are all your Lews reels upper end?
Or a Mix?
I've been told even the cheaper models are solid as heck.
Just curious.
Haven't bought it yet Fish, the one I'm looking at is a Lew's Tournament MB Speed Spool LFS Reel - 8.3:1 - model number TS1XHMB and it says made in China. Don't know if they consider it a cheaper model or not, definitely not the most expensive but not the cheapest either. Ronnie, I don't know where they draw the line between the China reels and the Korean reels, my two original Inshore's were $139.99, same as the reel you posted, and they're both made in China, all of my other reels were $179.99 and up, with all that being said, my original Inshore's perform just as well as any of the higher end reels that i have! All in all, IMO you really can't go wrong with any of them. So I guess the fact they're made in China is not a deal breaker for anyone. I've fished for the last 35 years With the old Garcia 4600c and 5500c reels which are made in Sweden but are hard to cast a fluke or wacky rig into the wind so thinking of getting a few Lew's or similar to solve that problem. Being made in China shouldn't bother me, probably half the stuff in my boat came from China. Just recently bought a Whopper Plopper straight from China for $6.50 and it performs as well or better than the River2Sea I paid $12.99 for at Academy. I trust the reviews I get on here from people who have them and use them which is why I ask so Lew's it is.

North Korea or South Korea,..?? Haha Jim. I'm thinking the only thing North Korea makes are nuclear weapons but hopefully they will find something more useful pretty quick.

I went from 12 Revos to 12 Lews and love them. Also have 2 Speed Sticks and am happy with them. Nice Fathers Day gift!

Every PFD BPS sells is imported. Kast King gets a bad rap about their reels because they are made in China. Guess Lew's and Abu Garcia have better Chinese workers.  My Team Lews Pro reels are make in Korea. Much better than the Chinese .....lol

My better half and daughter gifted me a Speed Spool and matching rod for Father's Day.
Oh, I'm just braggin'. Fish, do you intend to use the reel for a specific purpose, crankbait, spinner bait, T-rig, etc. ? What speed is it ? Let me know what you think.
