I recently switched from Gen 1 HDS to Helix 10 gen 1s. I have moved my rear transducer every which way and I still am getting a very dark reading on the left side of my side scan. I can swap to 800khz and it completely blacks out. I consider myself pretty good with these things but I can't fix this issue. I started here with the ducer: I am currently here with it. I have been everywhere in between. The image does not change no matter what I do. I understand the images aren't the best but the unit currently freezes every time I try to insert my sim card. What do yall think? Looks to me you may have a transducer issue. The left side element gone bad. If you could hook up another transducer to it you can verify it.

My helix 9 di gps gen 1 is stuck in shut down mode even if powered up remotely it will not shut off unless I unplug the power from it. It worked flawlessly yesterday and went into this crazy mode to today when it was first powered up. Any ideas before I ship it back? If you have any map cards in the unit try removing them. How is the unit powered, straight to battery or fuse panel and what size wire?

No map cards installed. Called Hummingbird and they told me to ship it back. SO the wait begins.

I just installed a new helix 10 mega and tried loading my waypoints from my previous helix 10 SD card and the new unit says not enough memory to load all data. I downloaded the way points from the older unit, which I am moving to the bow, just before I tried loading them to the new one. Any ideas why it wouldnt have enough memory?

Did you check the MEGA units waypoint library to see if all the data loaded?

Then just plug the transducer and the power cable into the unit. This will verify that the transducer is plugged all the way in. If that still doesn't work then check the transducer cable for damage. If possible plug in another transducer to the unit. It can be the compact or just a 2d transducer that is compatible.

Cable connector? The cable from the transducer is plugged directly into the back of the unit..?

Ok Everything Is plugged in fully in the back of the unit, got another transducer. The 2d works..and SI is picking up the bottom, like if i drop off into a creek channel you can clearly tell but its just a blank blue screen with a few random dots no matter what settings are I spoke with the guy I bought it from and he said he was running a sd card with the 6.670 update which is for a 998 modle.. my 1197c is running the 6.640, the last update for the 1197.. could this be the issue?

Do you have the SI RANGE set to deeper than the bottom is? He could not load the 998 software on the 1197 and you can't either. The unit will not run on any software that is on a memory card. Software is installed in the unit's memory ONLY. Do a Restore Defaults to get rid of any menu changes anyone has done that you cannot figure out.
