If you are in the dfw area set aside a little time to swing by Bass Pro Shops over the next 4 days. The spring classic will be going on tonight through Sunday and the sales have already begun. I'll be looking for willing people to pass my time talking fishing or hunting.

My fishin partner- Brad Volland will be at Bass Pro on Sunday giving a seminar on Lowrance electronics. It's very informative and you can learn all the newest tricks. As well as how to update your current recorder.

I hope they restocked everything from the beginning of the sale last Sat. They were out of the three things I drove 2 1/2 hours to pick up. Don't think I will make it back up this weekend, although I would like to hear the lecture on the electronics. Coach

Not to sound trite or smart-alecky, but I'd call before I drove 2 1/2 hours to anywhere to buy something.

fatchamp, I saw Citgo TCW3 for $6.44 or close to that, Penziol was $9 something. I didn't notice mercury oil but you might call.

Are they letting you use the 20 percent coupons on the sale items? That sucks about the oil, last year the quiksilver was 9.99 and the plus was 10.99.I bought enough to last the year instead of paying 17 bucks at wal mart for it.

I'll be in the Denton County Bass Club booth on Friday afternoon/evening...stop by and say hi. We're also going to be drawing for a free entry fee into our next tournament on Lake Quitman, in an effort to recruit a few new members.

Thanks for the tip there jignpig, but I drove up there with my fishing partner to check things out. The three things I had in mind to pick up from looking at the sale flyer that came in the mail were out of stock. Not trying to down BPS here, just saying there must have been a large crowd on Sat for the beginning of the sale or BPS didn't anticipate that many people. Hoping to make it back up there this weekend. They did give me a raincheck on the reel I wanted since I brought one up there to trade in. Coach

Brad's seminar is supposed to be Sunday but as of last night BP had it scheduled for Saturday. Moving it back to Sunday is in progress.
Mercury premium plus is $16.99 and premium is $12.99.
Best oil deal is the Citgo for $4.88.
