Looking to take my son out for stripers or sand bass. Just want to catch some fish. What artificial baits are working best. Thanks in advance.

Striper can be tough this time of year without live bait. The downrigging trollers are catching them with bucktail jigs with worm trailers. White and chartreuse colors.
For whitebass I always have a 1oz slab tied on in chartreuse color. You can jig under the boat with it and if the fish start surfacing, you can make long casts to them.

Have you found any whites on structure that are biting lately? I went out Memorial Day weekend and got skunked trying to find whites.

I will be there tomorrow thru Sunday with the family. I will post general areas on this thread if I find some stacked up...
I usually find whites this time of year on the dam side of the island in 16-24 FOW.
