I love night time fishing. Not only is it a reprieve from the heat but if you can do it during the week, you can have an entire lake all to yourself.

Night fishing is a mainstay here in TN. Moon phase make a big difference in bait presentation on most of our deep, clear highland lakes. Even on full moon nights bass mostly prefer a shaded/dark bank. They still use that shade as an ambush point.

A wise man once told me the baitfish dont change colors just because it got dark outside... keep it simple. Good luck!!!

just because it is dark does not make all night equal. Sometimes the bite is right after the sun goes down, but I find more often 3 or 4 hours after sundown is when it gets good. I prefer marina lights, and I have no faith in points or locations where you find schools. Deep cover is fine, but it seems the fish move up or cruise the shallows and ambush bait. Wendy nights are a no go for me
Woke up this morning Got yourself a gun....

It takes some time to find the spots to fish and dhat time the fosh will be there. Once you do it is like clock work. They will be there. Its nice enough being alone on the lake that catching isnt as important to me as thepeace and quiet.
What lake were you trying?

Rayburn. I agree on the peace and quiet. It was nice.
