Anyone using Chicken gizzards soaked in dead red on jugs? We tried chicken breast over the weekend soaked in dead read and it worked. However, the bait was getting stolen a bit. We thought chicken gizzards soaked in dead red may be a better option. Thoughts?

Gizzards will definitely stay on the hook better. But personally I've never had any luck with them. I've never soaked them in dead red and I've only used them a couple of times.

Some use gizzards to imitate the "splat" of the bird droppings near trees they nest in. For catching Blues & Channels. Gizzards look a little like it as it hits the water.

You should try the elusive chicken gizzard shad. Takes a very special cast net to catch them though. I can show you how, when and where but it'll cost ya.

lol
