I imagine HEB has a hell of a real estate team working for them. They seem to be "there" before anyone knows where "there" is. Anchor 20 acres with a HEB and the tenants will come. That, plus their marketing and inhouse brands, they probably don't care much about groceries. There are no other stores in SA except Walmarts and a few Sprouts, HEB ran em out of town... I love HEB.

I carry an ice chest when Im traveling south of Hillsboro/Ennis line and usually hit one of the HEBs with a real meat counter. Get cuts I cant find for a reasonable price in DFW. And those HEB brand charro beans are good too!

have they started on it?

I said Willow Park, but meant to say Hudson Oaks. Here is a little insight on the store:

Very astute group. Nothing left to chance with the organization. No I do not work for HEB.

Market Street is better. No way HEBs yoga pant scene is even remotely close to Market Streets.

I wish they would put an HEB store down the street from my house where the Albertsons used to be.

The HEB in Lufkin is mediocre, at best. Old building, cluttered aisles, and bad layout. We are supposed to get a new on here in Nac and I hope it lives up to expectations.

The HEB in Kingwood is by far the nicest Grocery Store I have ever been in, bar none.

The HEB here in Odessa has been here since 1996. I remember Bluebell ice cream in the single serving half gallon size was 2 for $5. food

I would really enjoy a Brookshires or United in my sticks. We only have a nasty expired food having Lowes here. The Dollar General is a safer bet than it is. We either drive 30 miles to a United or Brookshires, or 65 miles to the bigger stores. I do like HEB, when I go to South Texas I always stop on the way home and grab a few things we like there.
