Whatever the reason is, it's obviously great to see happening. Just sucks I can't get on the water until next weekend.

High water and tons of new cover in the water the last two to three years coming out of the drought. And possibly a shad kill during cold winter so little less to eat right now making them more susceptable to lures.

Yes probably the high water gives the fish more and better places to hide in all the new flooded cover and less likely to be caught, killed and harrrased by fisherman and getting a chance to get bigger

Theyre getting in a predictable summer deep pattern I think.
13+ in evening weekday derby at Joe Pool two weeks ago.
9+ at Worth this week in another weekday derby.
Should be a good next few weeks everywhere with the weather hot and stable. 25 lb 3 fish weighed in on Friday at LL 40 lb 5 fish ar Rayburn Fishing is getting real good, summer dink fest is just around the corner

I've seen it. We had a bunch of grass last year and those fish stayed in there and got big and fat. Now it's mostly gone and they are back to their normal hide outs
