I have been catching a load of catfish in 20 foot deep water but most have eggs. I think the spawn should start or maybe started. Yes I am armed with corks. I have seen water temps on Fork in the 80s. Seems the spawn might be a little later this year?

I try to not call Stubby but his knowledge is large. This time of year just gets me sometimes. I wil� probably bounce between 20 and zero feet and locate them.

And has anyone heard from Stubby? I haven�t seen a report from him in a while. I hope he is healthy and catching lots.

We went up to the north end, in the lily pads with slip corks and Stubby's with no luck. Backed out to 15 FOW and limited out, about half of them full of eggs. Most being 2-3 lbs with a couple up to 6. Saw Stubby a couple weeks ago, he is busy breaking in his new boat.

Ok I went out today to my 20 foot deep spot with two other gentlemen. We caught 50 that we cleaned and I don't keep fish less than 14 inches long. So I would say the average fish weighed about 2 pounds. No we did not catch any 10 pounders today. Last month we landed a 13 pound channel cat so we do catch some bigger fish. Stubbys bait is the key. I did go see Stubby today to buy bait and chat. He is doing well and making loads of bait.

Stubby was doing fine when we went fishing with him on Wednesday. My daughter and I went and caught a limit with him. We fished mostly in the 19 to 26 foot range with stubby's bait.

I go on a guidetrip with Stubby just to learn new stuff . The guy is a catfish genius.

Stubby is my best friend. He took me under his wing 4 years ago and I will never be able to repay him for the knowledge he has shared with me. Couldn�t aske for a better person
