Man that was a big copperhead. Should ate it never tried one but have eating many rattle snakes.

I tell my kids snakes are bad and we kill them if there around the house close cause the can hurt you. I got a 4 and 1 year old that loves playing outdoors don't want them to get bit trying to play with a snake.

That is good thing for you to do with the kids But for me I love snakes I would of done the same thing you did just move it some where it would be safe. John

I agree about the poisonous snakes in the yard. I don't want them around either. In fact, last summer I found a cottonmouth in the backyard and I did happen to remove its head from its body.
I guess it is about education with snakes. My 8yr old son is not scared of snakes but knows better than to mess with them.

It was probably full of eggs. Where there's one there's usually more. It would have been dead in my pool too.

I dont care if that thing is dangerous or not but that is by far the COOLEST looking snake. You should submit that first pic to some kind of journal or magazine, it looks really nice with the blue water! Really brings out its colors
