In what part of the state? Guys are catching bigguns all over.. falcon, Rayburn, Toledo, fork, etc.

Not as good as other lakes. They are there but I wouldn't put it at the top of my list

What are the odds of catching a few blacks over 5 on Whitney right now ? Very good actually! Been catching good fish every trip.

I’ve kinda narrowed down to Buchanan Whitney PK Athens But definitely will consider other Within 4 hour drive of Abilene

Whitney has all of the above. Mccowan valley has small cabins of you don't have an RV. Cedron is a nice camp site as well. Both are about mid lake. Up the river you have Hams creek. A ton of options and good fishing.
