Am headed to Navarre Beach this Summer for family vacation. We will be staying right next to large fishing pier. What kind of rod/reel combo would I need to fish pier and surf? All responses will be greatly appreciated.

What do you want to catch? Bass gear works fine for trout and redfish.
If you're going to throw a big hunk of meat out, then you need to scale up.
