 So yeah.....i had a heart attack today

Just finished edging yard round 11am, began to feel really bad, dry heaves...I thought i had heat stroke. Went to shower and put it on cold then blacked out and hit the shower floor. Got up and laid down and chest pains started, told my son to call 911. They were there in two minutes (heros for me today), heart attack confirmed and off we go to the hospital. I passed go and went straight to the cath lab and ended up with 3 stents. Looks likes 48 hours in hospital for monitoring then go home. I have two more arteries to get stented in 6 weeks.
The cardiac doc told me i was lucky, i cheated the grim reaper today........sobering.

Very scary for sure, but glad to hear they were able to get you taken care of quickly & they have a plan in place to take care of the other 2 arteries...

Thanks all, the biggest issue right now is stopping the bleeding from the cath entry point. When they put pressure on it its just grand

Now that's a day that you'll never forget. Glad that your son was there and that First Responders made it there so quick.
On a positive note, you needed 3 stents and now the surgery is over and done.
