Got out this morning before the holiday lake wreckers got going. Fished from 8 to 10:30 and hammered em good. Started out shallow on a mid lake point and I was the only boat there. Hit the spotlock and deployeed 2 planer boards. Engaged the trolling motor and started letting out line on the boards. Before i could get em out i see the planer board start bobbing and bang, fish on! Hit the spot lock and reeled in The first fish. Deployeed the board again and got to pulling. Before I could get all my rods out Fish on! then another! Bite was fast and hard till about 10. By this time the sandbass fisherman were on to me and beginning to congregate around my boat even though Im pulling boards...Decided to head on in as 3 jet ski come screaming by. Ended up with 25 blues and 1 happy redneck!

sandbass fisherman like to congregate around a catfisherman. When i left I couldnt help but to go out a couple hundred yards and deploy a shad bucket. Here is a pick of them as they followed me out to no mans land. HeHe!

Sounds like a blast. They about done spawning over there?

Summer patterns are just starting to set up. I�d say quite a few are already done. Water was 83 yesterday so I�m �guessing� some are spawning around this full moon. I didn�t keep any fish yesterday so I don�t know for sure but I did catch quite a few that looked like they had been drug behind my truck.

Good job Bud! I would have chosen the 4oz weights for sure! 2 oz are far too forgiving

Those lake wrecking Jet Skis are easier to hit with a 2oz Curtis! Plus I�m not trying to kill the poor idiots! Lmao!!

Great post E.G.!!!!!....I really like the way you describe what you are doing.....I was out there yesterday crappie fishing with my Budddy and I saw so much inconsideration and it was pretty hot also that we finally came in...Still a great time...Great catches Sir!!!

Thanks amigos I will keep posting some reports as long as some of y�all are interested. I�ve always enjoyed trip report posts on TFF but hardly anyone wants to share anymore. The forum seems pretty dead these days. Hope all is well with all my catfishin bros!

I havent had any good fish to report latley. But i am hoping for more time on the water this summer.
