Making a trip to sandlin this coming weekend and dont know where to begin. I have heard reports of good crappie and good sand bass being caught right now but seeing as I have no clue about the lake, looking to some who are a little more familiar with it to get some advice on it. Any tips or starting points would be greatly appreciated!

Expect a lot of traffic, much like any other public lake. The crappie are in brush in 16-20FOW hanging in the top of the piles in 12-14 ft. Jigs or minnows will work. There is also some crappie on boat houses if you fish enough of them.

Yes we didn't fish them because of the wind, but there was some there.

Just finished a 3 day trip to Bob Sandlin. Stayed at state park and fished under the 21 bridge. Only used jigs, no live bait. I caught my 2 PB crappie this morning under there.
Bobby Garland baby shad on a Bonehead jig head with sickle hook took most of the fish.
Use electronics if you can to see where the fish are holding.
Fishin' to stock Lake Crisco.
