My friend is having a fish fry next weekend and I would like to bring some bluegill to fry. Can anyone tell me where a good place to catch some decent sized ones would be. PM is fine.

Jon,
Try Capp Smith park in Watauga. The best spot for bluegill is in the creek where it crosses Starnes Road. Park on the East Side and cast West toward the reeds. Or fish where the concrete ends. The creek should be flowing since the rain.
