After idling away from dock and in open water, I always stop the boat and give the good Lord thanks for the day. Short and sweet. I try to do this right before take off. I should do it more though. Besides that my best luck is always keeping an open mind going into the day. For some reason whenever we have to make do, like a forgotten rain suit or something, we always do better too. It's weird

I always take out a coin or two and toss it into the lake to pay the fishing gods and hopefully have a good day.

I read these and don't know of a lucky charm while fishing/hunting maybe I'd have better luck if I came up with one.

Never catch a bass on the first cast. If I do, it just ruins the whole day for me. This....plus I have this nickel that's been on the boat floor for a year and a half. When I clean the boat, I intentionally leave that nickel in the boat. Back on the floor.

Bananas as well, never leave home w/o them. They work great for me, my friend always gets skunked with bananas, but if you think negative towards the yellow fruit, then it won't work.

Last week I was on some really good fish. A couple of hours into wearing them out I happened to notice a banana float by. Two more hours later I called it a day. Completely skunked after that happened.
