Didn't catch a single brown trout Saturday or Sunday :(, but......

The fish started to hit as soon as Monday came! grin Here is one of the two I caught yesterday:

The other one was probably a 2 lber., I'm guessin' the one in the pic is 4.

Also, I Caught a 10 pound browny, a 2 pound browny, and a 2, mabye 3, pound coho salmon tonight. No pics of those though. Nice fightin' fish! wink

Tight lines yall,
Mike.

Congrats on what sounds like a good trip out to the lake!

How do those fish fight? Strip drag? Feel like a brick with no pull?

What did you catch them on?
Details please...

Thanks, bassman.

They fight pretty hard, some of our hardest fights up here in fact. Jump, strip, tug, everything, especially the cohos.

All of them were on spoons, fire tiger and blue/green w/ nickel paterns. I used 10 pound test line with pretty much bass rods and reels.

Tight lines,
Mike.

you have monster trout and salmon... we have monster bass

Give a man a fish, and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.

Thanks guys.

I caught the fish when it was upper 60's I believe. the hottest it's been so far this year is 75 I think, which was this past Monday.

Somerset is in Western NY on Lake Ontario, about 30 min. east from of Niagara Falls.

It's pretty rainy right now up here, so no fishing tonight frown
