It is wide open and plenty deep as far as I can tell well past Sid Richardson. It narrows quite a bit the way I went and got pretty stained form the rain last week so I assumed I was up a river.

The river is south of wise county park. Come out of wise county park, head towards main lake, pass three fingers and keep going south then it starts there and heads west

Theres one or two large stumps right in the middle of the 2nd and third bend that would be pretty bad. One is almost middle of the bend.

I know this is an old post but does anyone know if you can bank fish or launch a kayak from some of those dirt roads up on the NE side of the lake along the West Fork of the Trinity? Or is all that land privately owned? Some of the roads run right down to the water. Im not familiar with the area.

You can from Jack County side. I do not know all of the road names, but Google Earth can help you with that.

Access from wizard wells follow signs to Green Elm cemetery and keep going past ithe cemetery and it will dead end into where you need to access it when you get on the water head directly north and you will see a old abandoned bridge go under it and your in the West fork Trinity from there. Hope this helps
