This may be a silly question but has anyone ever tried to use a wacky worm method on a drop shot?

Yes.....sometimes. I feel like there is a time for it. It does kill the action somewhat, but at times that's what it takes.

All the time, increases my odds against other fishermen. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Showing them something different, most of the time.

OH, I typically do not fish a drop shot as most people do. I use a 1/0 to 3/0 hook and a big 6" worm, or on the 1/0, I use a 4" worm if not getting bit with the bigger stuff. Just so you know.

drop shot wacky is good, for example if you want to fish the bottom two feet, you cast out and lift the line till you feel the weight and then your worm floats down that last two feet again.

most people under utilize a drop shot rigging method. the action of the wacky worm is much better this way than if you weight it above the hook or on the worm.

Its only fishing whatever depth ish your weight to hook length is.
