Welcome Mrwest,
My son and I fished Conroe last Saturday for about 3 hrs. The shad are spawning on the bulkheads so it's pretty easy to load up on catfish. The Crappie we caught were on the 1097 bridge fishing jigs 16' down in 22' fow, we also caught Crappie over the top of brush piles in 12'-18' fow on the south end. Goodluck
