Used lots of H&H fishing Tanks back in South Central Oklahoma as a kid. Great Uncle had three real good tanks at his ranch around Bing Oklahoma, caught lots of fish. I bet they would still catch fish today if you threw one.
Thanks, Billy

my brother and I used to buy them at Gibson's with our allowance; we usually went with white, Good lord, you said Gibsons, we had one in Euless in the late 60's early 70's right down the street from our house on Harwood... We called it Gipsons back then we didn't know how good we had it. The last one I remember seeing was in Hurst off Pipeline Rd..1979-1980 maybe.. I used to get my Royal Bonyl mono and Jelly Worms at that store.

I started bass fishing at 11 years old in 1958. No boat, just walking the banks. My buddy and I used H&H spinner baits mostly, and sometimes tiny torpedos and small chuggers. We didn't know about plastic worms for quiet some time.
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

A push button zebco and a yellow H&H was all I needed to terrorize the local ponds when I was a boy. My grandfather would get all excited when Bacon & Edwards in Shreveport would put them on sale 10 for $1. Many a Lake Bistineau bass was caught on them. I still use them at times on cypress tree lakes...they definitely still work!

We used them in the 60's starting with Lake Mead and then when Dad retired we had them in Texas. I can still remember a couple trips we made to Mead. Very clear water and we fished off a deep rocky point. The only bites we would get all day were from shad and an occasional catfish on live bait. Just as the sun was setting the bass would move in and we would catch a cooler full of bass on the white H&H spinner.
When I took up fishing again in the mid 70's I bought a couple cards of them but then changed to the Bomber Mini Whacker. Slightly heavier and you had to replace the bearing but I tore them up on that bait for many years.

I grew up throwing a Dixon spinnerbait. Just a basic white spinnerbait with a white head and a single smaller colorado blade

An H&H will absolutely catch fish! They're just not durable enough. Bad hook too. I learned to bass fish with them back in the mid 70's as kid. They were deadly around the grass on Lake O'the Pines. And when they started putting willow leaf blades on em, oh man look out. Awesome bait!
