We had a good day today on Ray Roberts, I had an evening trip with Blu-Ranger and his daughter Mary. We started the trip hooking Mary on some whitebass, she caught 13 in just a few minutes. Then it was time to catch some crappie, The crappie are slowing down but still biting pretty good, we ended up with 23 keeper crappie. Mary (aka the crappie queen) did very good crappie fishing. It was enjoyable fishing with Blu-Ranger and his daughter. Thanks Blu-Ranger for letting me share in the memories with you and your daughter.

That's a great way to get a gal fisher hooked - great job all around and 'top of the day' to Blu-Ranger for taking Mary fishing.

Amen, Mr.Vern! After the disaster at Caddo I told my wife I was going to get a guide trip for Meri so she could catch a fish. Now if I can only figure out how to put her on some fish on my own....

Nothing like a good carppie fishing trip.LOL

I took out a morning trip today we ended up with 19 keepers but cut the trip short when the lighting started. Looks like the spawn is about to come to an end I can't remember it ever running this late. The crappie should start getting on a steady post spawn pattern soon.

wow the spawn is over already???

i was there when u broke ur motor on sunday. me and my buddys where climbing on the log jams. u talked to us for a lil bit. we got 45 real nice fish all along the creek. biggest was 1.8 and at least a dozen about 1.5. all were very good fish. the way they were biting for us i thought they would be there a few more weeks. that sucks if they are gone. crazy u got ur toon running that was the uglyiest noise i ever heard when u hit that log

I did not say it was over, I said it was coming to a end soon. they should still be in the area you was fishing for a week or so, they have to go by it heading back out to the main lake area.

Hey Cliff - Meri says she is really glad we took that trip and really appreciates how you taught her to handle that jig. She's brought that up about 15 times today!
