My daughter Kaitlynn is about to finish up her Jr. year at TXST. She is hoping to get into Physical Therapy school after he undergraduate is finished. She is my only child and I was awarded custody of her when she was 6 years old. I did my best to keep her headed in the right direction and active in as many positive activities as I could. She played basketball, volleyball and a little golf throughout her younger years and also shot 3 position smallbore precision rifle. She has always been my best hunting and fishing partner. Of course she didn't have much choice being raised by her dad. The one thing I told her when she entered Jr. High was that the most important decision she would make on the first day of school was not what phone, shoes, backpack, etc. she had, but it was what friend she chose to hang out with. But, I will have to say that what makes me the most proud is how she has always trusted in her Christian faith to get her through the difficult times. A couple of weeks ago I had the honor of attending her induction into Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. The other cool thing about this induction was that two of her friends since 3rd grade were also inducted. Guess she did listen to me at some point.  As much as she has fished with me she hasn't had a personalized custom rod. Yea, she has her own rod but not with a personal touch. Well, that all changed today. I went and picked up her new Waterloo and put a new 1000 series Shimano. I think she will be excited. >E New rod.  Program  Friends since 3rd grade. Dillon is like a brother to Kait. Dillon and Alicia have dated since 7th grade. Alcia aka "Peach" is also one of her roomies.  It's just her personality.  One with the old fat man. 
Columbus took a chance and he made it.

Awesome story!! Looks like you've done a great job raising your daughter. The rod looks very nice.

Good job!!!... My wife has been hinting around about a custom rod with that teal and pink color...she wants a real short rod for her kayak.
The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?
