Well I thought I would post an update on our move to the peach state. As most know my wife was informed of a relocation to Georgia in late Febuary and since then we listed our house for sale here. It sold in three days at $10,000 over asking price and closing June 21st. We have made three trips to Georgia to find our new home. We actually bought the very first one we looked at. New construction and much bigger than we need at 3200sq ft. 5 bedrooms and four baths. But its location is what sold us on it. Located at 15 minutes from the trailhead of the Appalachian Trail. On 3/4 acre surrounded by rolling hills, country roads and beautiful horse farms. About twenty minutes from Lake Lanier and only two miles from one of the top mountain trout streams in the state. Looking forward to the trout fishing since I haven't done that since leaving PA twenty years ago. On the career end looks like I am going to give real estate a try. The agent we are working with over there is going to help mentor me and get me the training I need for my license. I feel very fortunate that all this is working out as most of you know I was not a fan of going. Thanks to all who have been asking about things. This is our new home in Canton,Georgia

I grew up fishing lake Lanier. Gin clear water. Angry spotted bass. Downsize your line to 4-6# test. Those spots have good eyes.

Stripper fishing is great in lanier (yeah, i know, striper). Very deep lake

North georgia is beautiful, we stomped around up there a lot. Ellijay, helen, brasstown bald, love it

We just listed our house in Broken Arrow, OK and it sold in a day and a half. We had to kick it in gear to find one to move into so we jumped on one we had our eye on. Like you, this one was probably more space then we need at 5 bedrooms/2800 sqft but better to have more than not enough. More space is the only reason we decided to move anyways.

The funny thing is we're moving less than 1/2 a mile as the crow flies. So we won't have to change up any of our routines and the move itself shouldn't be too bad
