I've been looking hard for a boat last couple weeks, I've found plenty of bass trackers around, but from reading articles it seems that alumacraft/xpress are hands down a better boat. So I've been looking in those categories and man are they hard to find, at least ones that are well taken care of. I recently found a 2006 Xpress X19, one owner and the guy who I'm buying it buys and flips for cash. He told me the guy just didn't have time to fish as much as he thought he would, and decided to sell it. I've only seen it via pictures planning on going to see it tomorrow, it looks in great condition for its age, garage kept, has a yamaha 115, everything else is basic as you can get, only one fish finder on the console, probably a 40 +/- trolling motor. I'll provide a picture. Just wanted everyones opinions on the boat because I'm having a hard time figuring out if he's asking too much or not. Please let me know because this will be my first boat and don't want to make a mistake right out the gate.

I know its the height of the season but that seems incredibly high for a 12 year old tin boat with the 115HP motor.
That should be closer to a $8k tops if its super clean. The hydrowave tells me something is off about how quick it gets on plane. Keep looking.

That does seem high for a 12 YO boat and motor. The whale tail on the lower unit also throws up a flag for me. If you are really in love with it, don't buy it without an inspection by an uninvolved party and a compression check on the motor. When you say the guy buys them and flips them for cash, it sounds like the ebay sellers that bought stuff at a garage sale and in the description they say"It appears to have been....." and they really don't know a lot about what they are selling. Buyer beware.
Personally, I think there are better deals to be had at that price point.

There also appears to be a composite prop on there. Those are good for nuthin but limping home after you busted your real prop.

Come on, guys, capitals and punctuation, and good spelling make these posts a lot easier to read. The shorter one aren't too bad, but the longer ons that just run together, well......

the best way to find out if the price is too high is to shop around an see if there is one that is comparable in condition an motor that is less expensive. they are good boats that run an ride good . I have sold several with 150 s an 200 hp motors on them .
